Erasmus Outgoing

Students in the Gender Studies programme can apply via the Erasmus programme to study at our partner universities in Basel, Berlin, Bern and Prague.

  • Humboldt University in Berlin has one of the leading university Gender Studies programmes in the German-speaking world.
  • Charles University in Prague offer an excellent selection of gender studies classes that are taught in English.
  • The programme at the University of Basel runs courses with an emphasis on queer theory and postcolonial studies.
  • Gender Studies at the University of Bern specifically focus on issues of social inclusion and exclusion, care economy, social movements and migration.

Who can apply?

Participation in a study programme in Berlin, Prague, Bern and Basel is available to students who are enrolled in the Master Programme Gender Studies and are currently registered in at least their third semester of study. Students from countries outside the EU and EEC may apply if they have been officially registered as a resident of Austria for at least one full year at the time their Erasmus semester would begin.

Please make sure you take into consideration that the study periods for each semester at partner universities may differ from those at the University of Vienna.
